Job Description

DevOps Engineer – PathWave Cloud 


Keysight Labs provides leading-edge tools, products and technologies to drive Keysight's growing business. Labs is hiring an Advanced DevOps engineer to work on our PathWave Cloud Platform. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining a Kubernetes based platform used globally by other Keysight engineers to build and deploy cloud solutions.   

  


The ideal candidate will have significant experience deploying and operating Kubernetes clusters in a production environment.  As an advanced-level engineer, you will play a critical role in the decision-making process for platform development.  You will work closely with architects and engineers to research, plan, and implement solutions.  You will be a technical leader, providing mentoring, best practices, and hands-on guidance to the rest of the team.  Your ability to adapt to changing requirements is key. 


You will be expected to: 

  • Assist with the creation of the architecture for the PathWave Cloud platform. 
  • Partner with architects and managers to understand customer requirements and translate them for the development teams. 
  • Establish and maintain operations and deployment best practices. 
  • Effectively communicate with other teams within PathWave Cloud and broader Keysight to disseminate devops knowledge and best practices throughout the company. 
  • Become the β€œgo-to” resource for solving technical problems relating to deployment and operations of Kubernetes clusters. 

Job Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent discipline. 
  • 5-10+ years of DevOps experience. 
  • 2+ years of production Kubernetes experience. 
  • 5+ years of Linux system administration experience.  
  • 5+ years of Docker experience.   
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. 
  • Tools and Languages: 
  • Git, Terraform, ArgoCD, Helm, Rancher, EFK/ELK, Prometheus and Grafana. 
  • Python or Bash scripting. 
  • Go or NodeJS development experience a plus. 
  • Solid understanding of Jenkins CI/CD development flows and impact of DevOps on architecture. 
  • Gitlab CI/CD experience a plus. 
  • Major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) production workload experience a plus. 
  • Managing large scale deployments. 
  • Multi-zone availability/scalability. 

Role is based in Loveland, Colorado. Will consider Atlanta, GA as an optional  work location

Colorado Pay Range: $98,900-$164,830

Based on experience, education and skills, most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed above. Note: For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region
