WisEngineering, LLC is currently interviewing candidates for an immediate or near term position with our company in support of ongoing Department of Defense programs at Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, NJ. Candidate must be US Citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.  Successful candidate will be a direct (W2) employee of WisEngineering.

Job Title: Front End Web Developer with UI/UX Experience


 

Summary:


We are seeking a talented and passionate Front End Web Developer with UI/UX experience to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing user-friendly and visually appealing web applications. You will work closely with back-end developers and designers to ensure seamless integration and a cohesive user experience. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of front-end technologies and a keen eye for web design.


 

Responsibilities:




  • Develop and maintain high-quality, responsive web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).




  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate designs and wireframes into clean, efficient, and reusable code.




  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.




  • Implement user interface components and features based on design specifications.




  • Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code.




  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of development processes.




  • Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies and trends.




  • Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end code with Java-based APIs and services.




  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and improve the user experience.




  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to explore and test new design concepts.




  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of design systems and style guides.




Qualifications:




  • Proven experience as a Front End Web Developer (3+ years).




  • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.




  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.




  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).




  • Familiarity with Java web development environments and tools.




  • Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.




  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.




  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.




  • A passion for creating user-friendly and engaging web experiences.




  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).




  • Familiarity with testing frameworks and methodologies.




Bonus Points:




  • Experience with web accessibility standards (WCAG).




  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Sketch).




  • Knowledge of SEO principles.




  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
