The USU Space Dynamics Laboratory is seeking a motivated and team-oriented full stack web developer to develop databaseβbacked web applications, public facing websites, and interface with 3rd-party applications. In this role, you will work closely with a team of designers and developers to build functional and engaging websites, while ensuring the alignment of web design and user experience requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Write clean, consistent and wellβdocumented code
- Design, implement, test, and maintain web applications using a variety of web technologies and libraries
- Create quality UI mockups, storyboards, and prototypes
- Design relational data models
- Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum development environment
- Get feedback from, and build solutions for, users and customers
- Provide operational support for existing systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Gather and evaluate user requirements and feedback with customers, product managers, and team
Qualifications
- BS in software engineering, information technology, computer science, or related field
- MinimumΒ 5Β years of full-time, professional web application development experience

- Front-end web development
- Application design and development
- Back-end development
- Relational databases
- Software quality assurance
- Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Selfβmotivated and customer-service oriented
- Must be a US citizen
Preferred Qualifications
- MS in software engineering, information technology, computer science, or related field
- Understanding of UX/UI design principles
- Experience with responsive web design
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks including modern front-end libraries (e.g. Vue)
- Knowledge of SEO principles
