We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer who will be the driving force behind building and scaling the backend systems that power our innovative payment and financial services. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you will be expected to work closely with our front-end developers and ensure our systems are efficient, reliable, and scalable while driving cross-collaboration amongst both functional and technical teams to understand requirements and ensure seamless integration with front-end components.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to any junior team members, helping to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance the performance of our systems and applications to ensure high reliability.
- Work on databases, application integration, API development, and help create the pillar that allows web applications to function efficiently and effectively.
- Be knowledgeable about the Agile Development Lifecycle and follow best practices to perform code reviews, ensuring development coding standards are utilized properly.
- Participate in planning, development, and maintenance of the server-side logic of web applications.
- Design and implement database structures and interactions, and write reusable and reliable code; code should be performant and of high quality.
- Manage tasks and progress using issue tracking software.
